MARCUS CALLUM

BIOGRAPHY
 
Marcus is a student of classical realism studying the techniques of the old masters at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. With a talent for portraiture, Marcus decided to focus on his art full time after winning the Sir William Dobell Scholarship. He has been recognized with several art prizes and continues to supplement his art practice with advanced studies and occasional teaching at the Julian Ashton Art School.

In 2010, Marcus was a finalist, with "Honourable Mention", in the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize and also a finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the world's richest portrait prize.

Marcus has drawings and paintings held in public and private collections in the UK and Australia.
